We visited a ginseng farm in Kamloops. Kamloops is the largest ginseng producer in Canada because Kamloops has a semi-arid climate which is the most suitable climate for growing ginseng. Here, in the picture, is the farm, where rows of ginsengs are being planted. The stems and leaves of the ginseng plant have withered at this time of the year, leaving a pile of organic compost on top of the ginseng roots. The stems and leaves will grow again next year during spring.
